An interesting looking tube landed on my desk this summer, and seeing the word “science” on the packaging piqued some interest. The silver, slick-looking product was none other than Apothederm’s Stretch Mark Cream.
The Washington-state based lab launched this non-greasy, fast-absorning product to aid in what nearly every human being will have to come to terms with at some point in their lives: stretch marks.
Developed by scientist’s at Helix BioMedix, Apothederm Stretch Mark Cream is meant to reinforce the skin’s own support structures, aiding it to “repair” those existing stretch marks. It packs the labs’ own patented SmartPeptide™ technology, a bunch of other smart skin-saving peptides, and aids in collagen production, too. With shea butter, olive oil and a host of other skin brightening and tightening components, it promises results in just two weeks with proper use.
I’m working through my tube of Apothederm’s Stretch Mark Cream now and admit I love the feel of it. It is a very light, almost souflle-tye cream that the skin soaks up. Perfect for a full-on attack on the skin or maintenance, especially during warmer months when less skin is “in”.
