cushnie et ochs a/w ’12

The look on nails at Cushnie et Ochs, backstage at New York Fashion Week A/W '12. "NYPD Blue" by Dashing Diva Nails, New York.

New York Fashion Week has been busy as usual, with positively gorgeous and well-tailored autumn/winter ’12 collections making their debut. Backstage, trends are emerging and it’s looking like fall will be another full textured and sleek season. Snapped quite a bit while reporting from Yigal Azrouël, Cushnie et Ochs and more during Day 2. Here are a few of the “looks” for fall/winter ’12-13 from Cushine et Ochs. Lots more on the way!

Model lineup backstage at Cushnie et Ochs A/W '12.

Lead makeup artist at Cushnie et Ochs was Charlotte Tilbury (who couldn’t have been more fun to hang out with backstage) working with MAC Cosmetics. Charlotte explained to me she was going for the look of  “a young Carine” (as in Roitfeld!) for the girls. Lips were somewhat natural looking with a bit of shine, using MAC Cosmetics SPF 15. MAC’s Luna Cream Color Base was applied over the high planes for some highlights on the face, and eyes were done in minimal makeup with MAC’s Studio Fix Lash. Very soft yet edgy at the same time. All came together as a really cool look that matched the collection well.

In a few words, Charlotte described the finished look as “shiny skin, with purity.” We like!
