You may be already thinking about layering for fall…and even winter. But what about your skin? I for one, am known to use night cream as a day cream every now and then and not by accident. Come winter when the wind is howling and the snow is falling, your skin may need some more potent reinforcements. We layer our outerwear, so why not our skin?
Last week I spent some time with Dr. David Colbert, head of New York Dermatology Group and Founder of the ColbertMD skincare range. Earlier in my chronicles, I offered his Intensify facial discs as giveaway and last winter touted his Illumino Facial Oil, which aside from being really sweet-smelling, had me skipping my face washing in the morning. Because the oil is that good, really.
So now that the humidity is being zapped out of the air it is only a matter of time (weeks, for those of us in the Western Hemisphere) that our skin will get a little less moist and may need a lot more attention. Dr. Colbert has some tips to do battle with, and needless to say the ColbertMD range should be kept at the ready this winter.
Dr. C recommends a gentle face-washing with Balance, the purifying facial cleanser that is the newest addition to his skincare range. Gentle and refreshing with the all-important addition of lactic acid to quickly exfoliate. Follow up with a thin layer of Illumino oil. THis may do it for some, but I plan to continue on with the line’s Heal & Sooth night cream, which I will admit, goes over well during the day, too.
Try this combo by Dr. C this winter. It is a simple-step routine with sooner than later visibile results.
