Say hello to Ovando, a gorgeous little shop on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Ovando, the namesake floral boutique of fashionable florist Sandra de Ovando, first opened in SoHo in 2003. Now the designer has brought her unique and pretty designs uptown to Madison Avenue. The shop is small, but large enough to show off some amazing artistry.

Arrived a bit late to the opening party, but managed to catch up with Ms. de Ovando afterwards and learned more about her passion for florals, how she keeps a demanding clientele happy and the new (and very chic) boutique.

“Natural forms of color and structure and almost anything in its pure, natural state of being are my inspiration.”

“I have always wanted to cater more to the Upper East Side; I feel very fortunate to have found such a unique location. No job is too big for us at Ovando; on the contrary we welcome them. We can service from an intimate dinner, to a gala for 2000 guests, to a destination event.”

“I love collaborating with other designers, as well as those on our team. I find that through collaboration, our work is always elevated to the highest level.”
