Ingestible skincare. This is what I was told when IO Beauty’s beauty booster landed on my desk. I was so intrigued, I scheduled a meeting to learn more about the brand.
International make-up artist Sue Devitt has teamed up with uber-nutritionist Tanya Zuckerbrot and the two are the driving forces behind IO Beauty, a new range of potent skincare, including a skin booster than can be used topically or ingested. Intriguing, yes.
It’s labeled as a “beauty boosting” solution and works from the inside out. The booster is a mix of Australian blackberry and acai, as well as other skin and cell-saving nutrients such as mangosteen. It also delivers the full amount of the USDA’s daily recommended ORAC units, which stands at 3200, believe it or not (for readers outside the U.S., ORAC is the United States’ Department of Agriculture’s oxygen radical absorbance capacity). This is the real deal, and potent, too. A few drops under the tongue or (as I have been doing), mixed with a few droplets with your favorite moisturizer at night and results are visible in just days. Will update you all in a few weeks, but am loving the feeling of my face these days when I wake up!
In addition to the Booster, the IO Beauty skincare range launched with an eye concentrate, treatment and moisture concentrate. Potent and effective, we think it’s worth a try.Back to Blog
