last night in new york…

Last night brought a nice reminder that warmer days are ahead, and that new spring and summery products will soon be appearing. Caroline Greyl, daughter of Leonor Greyl, who runs the namesake haircare line, landed in New York City for cocktails and to offer a review of its newest haircare product Lait Luminescence, which the company promises is what we all will need to maintain and tame our tresses this coming spring/summer.

Industry colleagues and friends gathered at the chicly decorated Stanford White Studio within the  Chatwal Hotel to hear Caroline speak, take questions and learn more about this French line of products. Leonor Greyl is unique in sense that it is one of only a few remaining French lines that are entirely family owned and operated.

I spoke with Caroline and learned what Lait Luminescence is, and why I will have a bottle on hand this summer. Here’s the deal:

It hits stores and the Leonor Greyl website in April; will retail for $43.00.

It’s a leave-in product and can work pre-sun, pre swim and post-swim.

It’s a “clean” milk spray product- silicone-free and environmentally friendly.

Caroline described it as “multi-use” offering “multi-effects” such as its UVA/UVB protection, detangling and smoothing factors.

The bottle is a good size and a little will go a long way; although a little over 3 oz., it is still small enough and light enough to travel with.

Check out the scene from last night!
