Last night in New York City, Bertrand and Mathilde Thomas, the husband and wife team and founders of French luxury skincare line Caudalie, hosted an exclusive masquerade party at their Caudalie Spa at The Plaza Hotel. They say that “paradise is on the 4th floor” of The Plaza and it most certainly is.
With our party masks on and the most delicious chocolate macaroons being passed, guests were treated to a tour of the 14-treatment rooms, reception areas and the one of a kind “French Paradox Lounge”, which are all something to be seen.
The Spa, which opened in 2008 with the renovation of the very storied hotel, could be the largest spa space in upper Manhattan and is the only spa in New York City to offer an extensive array of wines from the owners (Bertrand’s) private collection. We’ve all had our peppermint teas and water that are typically offered at spas and salons (those are on offer as well) but a glass of red after a luxury facial seems like the way to go.
Guests mingled and sipped wines from Bertrand’s collection while learning about Caudalie’s newest product, Premier Cru The Eye Cream, the second launch as part of the brands Global Anti-Ageing collection. With patented soft-focus particles to fight lines, firm and brighten the skin around the eyes, it is a potent “all-in-one” eye cream, we learned.
