Originally created for Queen Marie Antoinette, Bastille Day 2011 (how appropriate!) saw the re-release of Black Jade, from French perfume house Lubin Paris. The cinnamon-spiced, jasmine infused fragrance is a recreation that has been re-formulated with the inspiration of the Queen herself and her famed French gardens on the private estate of Petit Trianon. Hints of jasmine blend well with the bergamot and fresher notes including amber and Indian sandalwood, making it a luxurious scent that evokes some history and lots of femininity. I’ve had my bottle since the summer and adore the fragrance for evening wear.
