Wedding season has arrived. It landed in New York City with full force this month as prestige designers including Carolina Herrera sent their bridal collections for 2015 down the runways. ATD was backstage to capture most of the action at another luxe designers show, Monique L’Huiller. And Ms. L’Huillier did not disappoint. Sleek, yet elegant hair, embellished hair pieces, spring like and “barely there’ nails was what we saw. And we loved it.
French haircare and styling line Kérastase was the brand of choice for lead stylist Nina Dimachki. Working with the brand’s “couture” stylers, Nina created sleek, very ladylike and as she puts is “age appropriate” hair to compliment the designers collection.
“Romantic vignettes” was the underlying theme for her bridal hair look, which was dry in texture. Using the sweetly scented Powder Bluff, Nina went with a low, pulled back ponytail. Easy to create, easy to maintain and it is also a style that works well with one major trend this season–hair accessories. L’Huillier’s collection was big on hair accessories (just about every model wore one) and Nina was able to conceal any metals and let the hairpiece shine on its own. According to Nina, “symmetric chignons are classic, romantic and timeless”. All that a bride aspires to be, we think! Expertly crafted with Kérastase couture stylers, the hair can be worn on and off any runway and wedding aisle.Back to Blog
