For Autumn/Winter ’12, a strong trend of deeper, richer shades have emerged, along with a few bursts of sophisticated color with glossy touches. It’s all very sleek, and makes coordination with a fall wardrobe much easier this season.
The color experts at Zoya have given us not one, but three sets of beautiful color that will satisfy even the most picky and undecided when it come to nail “fashion” (one aptly titled “Diva”). I had the opportunity to work with team Zoya backstage in February during New York Fashion Week and saw the magic firsthand. Careful collaboration with designers including Peter Som, Bibhu Mohapatra and Zang Toi came down the runways, giving us a peek at what was to come. Happy to report these glamourous shades have ARRIVED.
Diva, Designer & Gloss are the collections that sum up the seasons moods of muted tones and rich textures. Two standout shades are “FeiFei”, a steel blue that sparkles, and “Elisa”, a show-stopping, rich red that will work with the hues of your fall wardrobe–guaranteed long-wearing shine all the way into the holiday season with these two shades.
Across the Atlantic, the the nail mavens at butter London are also known to be backstage collaborators on color. For fall, their whimsical shades such as “Gobsmacked and “Lovely Jubbly” will be a pretty fix for a night out. As with Zoya, they brought the shimmer and shine this season not just to nails, but also to their new Lip Color Collection. Of all the polish on my desk these days, it appears team Zoya and butter London have nicely balanced the moods and tones of fall with just the right amount of “pretty.”
