New Yorkers like to shop. Love would be a more appropriate term depending on the individual in question. But nevertheless, shopping is part of the lifestyle in this great city–so much to discover, re-engage with and learn about. Manhattan mum’s Candice Postel and Emilia Fanjul Pfeifler have down their share of shopping and with solid backgrounds in the industry, they’ve brought their know-how, expertise and cultivated resources together to create The Drawing Room in New York City.
Located on East 75th Street, the space is inviting, tastefully furnished and a welcome break from the busy city blocks along 5th Avenue. Emilia and Candice know fashion and they’ve curated their space to offer city folks the best a brand has to offer. This is where you go to find the full and latest collection from L.A.-based brand Haney and others whose full collections don’t always make it to the racks at local shops.
We stopped by the Drawing Room this winter and fell in love with the space, the style and learned more about the mission behind it. Emilia and Candice have a stated goal of showcasing the work and creations of those that aren’t getting the attention they deserve and it’s not confined only to fashion. Lifestyle is a part of the Drawing Room, with linens, fine wines and more in the mix. “It’s really different,” Emilia states. “We are aiming to keep our offerings fresh and fun.”
