During the winter, I was told of a New Zealander that had developed a skincare line after a first-hand experience with skin cancer. I was also told that it is incredibly effective and won’t leave any residue on the skin. So, although I am not a fan of soaps or sunscreen for the residue the respective products sometime leaves on the skin, (yes, I said it. Although I do use a fantastic SPF from Clarins), I checked out the website of Cor Silver skincare to see for myself. Another interesting fact that piqued my reporting inteest: New Zealand today holds one of the highest skin cancer rates in the world.
Cor Silver is a natural-based no fuss skincare line that gets down to business. Founder Jennifer McKinley created the line and focused on sun protection within the products, but there are also some fun skincare facts about the little round soap.
Her “Silver Soap” contains a silica compound that works to maintain the precious collagen our skin needs. What makes this nicely packaged and potent soap so effective and even covetable, is that it holds Sericin, an anti-oxidant that also contains light-scattering properties (so all those UVA and UVB rays stay off the skin) as well as what we are seeing more and more of in skincare–hyaluronic acid. More so, it works against dehydration. Pretty neat for use in the summer months.
The entire Core Silver line is available online and ships worldwide. Love the compact case and travel-sized soaps. Perfect to pack and keeps the ball dry and fresh when not in use.Back to Blog
