yu-be

Yu-Be, Japan’s cult moisturizer.

Who isn’t intrigued by the rituals of Japan and the Orient? Centuries old, countless individuals around the world are known to travel the globe in search of the ancient yet highly effective treatments and therapies of the Far East.

Enter Japanese pharmacist Yoshikiyo Nowatari, founder and creator of the Yu-Be range of skincare. At more than 50 years old, the line stocks worldwide and still comes highly recommended from pharmacists and those in the know. I discovered it a few years back while in Asia, then thankfully spotted Nowatari’s Moisturizing Lotion in New York City at New London Pharmacy. While I don’t use it daily, it is great to have for those days when your skin is screaming for some extra comfort. Only a pharmacist can concoct what Nowatari has–camphor, glycerin and Vitmain E–(to name a few) in the most basic form of an ultra-hydrating lotion that works in any season, and on all skin types.
